1/3	c	Tomato catsup
2	ts	Lemon juice
5	c	Sliced/peeled apples
		(2 to 2-1/2 pounds)
3/4	c	Granulated sugar
3/4	c	Flour
1	ts	Cinnamon
1/2	ts	Ground allspice
1/3	c	Softened butter
1		Unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Blend ketchup & lemon juice; combine with apples. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon; cut in butter until thoroughly mixed. Fill pie shell with apples (I cheat and use Mrs. Smith's canned pie filling) ; top with sugar mixture. Bake at 375 degrees F for 40 to 45 minutes, or until apples are cooked. Serve warm with ice cream, if desired. Makes one 9-inch pie.
